Painswick Golf Club

A historic 18-hole course dating to 1891 (extended from 9 holes in 1907), set high on Painswick Beacon in the Cotswolds. At under 5,000 yards and par 67 it's short by modern standards, but blind shots, shared fairways and Iron Age hill-fort earthworks make it a distinctive and demanding test, with panoramic views over the Severn Valley and Malvern Hills.
