Alwoodley Golf Club

Alwoodley Golf Club was founded in 1907 by a group of Leeds businessmen, among them a local GP named Alister MacKenzie. MacKenzie was one of the founding members of the club, where he served as honorary secretary from 1907 to 1909, was elected to the green committee immediately upon resigning that post, and became club captain in 1912.
